To celebrate the new St Paul's Way Medical Centre in 2017, Tantra has created a panoramic mural spanning the length of the entrance corridor. While the right-hand panel includes dramatic lines with fields of vibrant colour, the left-hand panel creates a calmer space with floating abstract shapes inspired by twentieth-century artist, Wassily Kandinsky.
Tantra says, "Kandinsky was inspired by the relationship between music, colour, geometry. Similarly, it was important for me to inject two types of rhythms or energy into space. A more ‘punctuated space' to the right that leads to staff offices… and a more ‘open space' to the left which the majority of patients see as they come out of the lift. I wanted to create both a welcoming and uplifting environment—a mural that encourages you to look and relook again—to dream, imagine and reflect."
