Commissioned as part of the Liverpool Biennial 2012, Tantra’s intervention – “Together, Yet Forever Apart” – transforms the external facade of Open Eye Gallery and the public space adjoining it, creating a spectacle of submergence.
Using colour as a primary material, Sinta Tantra creates architectural interventions on a grand scale. Taking the Biennial’s theme (of The Unexpected Guest) as a point of departure, Tantra reflects upon how the built environment make us feel; how we as bodies are drawn to or repelled by physical structures, light, surface and colour.
